The Angmering Chorale
|
Perform 2 concerts per year at Arundel Cathedral, plus summer and Christmas. Over 100 members aged from 30-80 with a varied repertoire. New members welcome.

Arun Choral Society

Founded in 1912, Arun Choral Society now has over 100 members. They meet on Monday evenings in Arundel and new members (especially tenors!) will be

Billingshurst Choral Society
|
Founded in 1986 this is an active amateur choir of around 100. The choir performs four main concerts a year in Billingshurst, Chichester and Arundel, under Musical Director George Jones. New members are always welcome!

Brighton Chamber Choir
|
Formed in 1995,
Brighton Chamber Choir performs unaccompanied, with organ and with chamber orchestra. The choir supports Brighton Festival Fringe each May. Conducted by Jane Money.

Brighton Consort
|
Tallis Scholar Deborah Roberts directs this leading chamber choir which specialises in early music.

Brighton Festival Chorus
|
Founded by Laszlo Heltay, now conducted by James Morgan and with an active youth choir. Still considered to be the best large choir in the area and with a busy programme of concerts, tours and recordings. Don't let the website put you off, their singing is very fine.

Brighton Orpheus Choir
|
Another big chorus, established in 1942. Patricia Harding conducted the choir for 51 years, a role now taken by Stella Hull. Rehaearsals take place Wednesday evenings at Dorothy Stringer School.

Brighton Singers
|
A choir of about 30 singers under the direction of Andy Sherwood. The Singers aim for a high standard of choral singing to perform a mixture of standard choral works and unjustly neglected repertoire. They rehearse at the University of Sussex - no subs payable if you're a student!

Brighton Welsh Male Voice Choir
|
There'll be a welcome in the hillsides - you don't need to speak Welsh to join the BWMVC. A very jolly website, chaotic but fun. Rehearsing in Hove on Monday evening, new members welcome. Let's hear it for the boys!

Brighton & Hove Yiddish Choir
|
Polina Shepherd's choir sings Jewish folk songs, Niggunim (the age old Jewish "songs without words") and original compositions, with improvisation and special attention to folk elements in singing. Teaching - mainly by ear. The Choir is a secular community, but the historic context of the music is discussed. New members welcome.

Burgess Hill Choral Society
|
Founded in 1947, Burgess Hill Choral Society celebrates its 60th anniversary in 2007. Around 70 - 80 members, rehearsals on Mondays and concerts twice a year in December & April. Conducted by Michael Stefan Wood. New members welcome.

Cantatrice Ladies Choir

Formed in 2004, this Steyning-based choir is directed by Zoe Peate and has performed in Steyning, Horsham and at Chichester Festival Theatre. New members welcome, no sight reading skills necessary.

Eastbourne Choral Society

Hailsham Choral Society

Phoenix Choir Eastbourne
